Component Performance Studies

An analysis of the performance of safety-related components used in both pressurized water and boiling water reactors in risk-important systems has been completed. A risk-based analysis of the operating data and an engineering analysis of trends were done to provide insights into the performance of these components on an industry basis. Failure probability estimates used combined engineered safety features (ESF) data and surveillance test data.
